  2. The MET Rooftop Garden: As you might have heard already, The MET opened the rooftop garden commission by Lauren Halsey from April 18th – October 22nd, 2023. It has not only some of the most impressive pieces of art but the most astounding views of Central Park and the rest of Manhattan!
  3. Untermeyer Park: This place is one of the most beautiful hidden gems that I have not been to yet, but will make it my mission to go this year. It looks like you’re in Italy overlooking Lake Como and you saved yourself hundreds of dollars on flights.
  4. Brooklyn Botanical Garden: Another beautiful park you have to check out. If you go soon enough, you’ll catch the iconic cherry blossoms and get the chance to hang in Prospect Park after as well! The vibes here are very tranquil and relaxing. Bring a picnic blanket and some snacks and have time! Ticket Price: Up to $18 | Hours: Daily 8 am-4 pm

To My Active Travelers

  1. Bike Around NYC: Biking around NYC during Spring is one of my favorite things to do and once you do it, you will 1000% know what I mean. If you’re renting a CitiBike or getting a bike rental from a company, you have to explore NYC like a true local.  Pro Tip #1: I don’t love CitiBike and rather you bike to Central Park since it’s safer with NYC’s crazy traffic. Pro Tip #2: My favorite places to ride my bike are Brooklyn Bridge, Prospect Park, Central Park & the West Side Highway
  2. Play Pickleball with City Pickle: Pickleball is easily becoming one of the fastest-growing sports and lucky for us, we get to enjoy it with City Pickle at Central Park’s Wollman Rink. This is a great opportunity to get outside, learn something new, and most importantly have fun! Day Trips In NYC’s Many Neighborhoods

  1. Roosevelt Island: As a native Brooklynite, I still have yet to do this. I have heard so many great things about it so 10/10 would want to add this to even my bucket list. Riding the Roosevelt Island Tramway is an experience on its own so 100% looking forward to that.
  2. Govenor’s Island: The perfect day trip to explore a new part of NYC. There are tons of things to do here. From mesmerizing over the monuments, riding bikes, hanging at the park, eating, and attending one of the many events. There is something here for everyone to do! Events: BQE 2023: On April 29, the fellowships at the Institute for Public Architecture Fellowships explore a radical re-imagining of the entire Brooklyn Queens Expressway corridor. | Wildlife Walking Tour: April 29 | Summer Lovin 5 & 10k: May 13 | Fad Market: Jun 17 – Jun 18, 2023 Check it out here

Restaurants/ Rooftops

  1. Cantina Rooftop: You might confuse this place with the iconic umbrella streets in San Juan. Welcome to Cantina Rooftop, one of the nicest places I have been to. I have celebrated not only one but TWO birthdays here and it just gets even better every time. The food and vibes are immaculate. A place I 10/10 recommend going to!
  2. Somewhere In Nolita: In a sea of overpriced rooftop bars, this place was a needle in a haystack. To get this hidden gem with a same-day reservation is unheard of but of course, your girl did it and had a great time. The views here are indescribable! They play great music and not overpowering to where you can’t hear everyone
  3. Cecconi’s Dumbo: This cute spot overlooks one of the most iconic views in NYC, the Brooklyn Bridge. If you’re coming for a cute lunch or dinner, this spot has so many good options and a go to for me was the pasta with wine! .
  4. Pilot: This cute vintage boat docked overlooking the NYC skyline has been on my bucket list for years and this is the year that I go to this!! This is a go-to spot for oysters and cocktails!!

What makes these games enjoyable are the company and the occasional glances at the field. Okay, I didn’t mean to violate that much, but you get the point. The last games I went to were actually a lot of fun so will def come again! Check it out here
  3. Intrepid Museum: Have you ever wondered about the military and maritime history of NYC? Getting a glimpse of submarines, aircraft carriers, and space shuttles used during WWII sounds like my cup of tea. There You Have It

Spring just got that much more exciting here in NYC. One of the reasons why I love living here is that there are SO many places to go and there’s still a ton that I haven’t been to yet. These posts are even inspiring me to get out there and explore my own backyard! The world is truly your oyster and especially in NYC.
