As a NYC native, this is my speciality so you’re in the right spot. What does being from NYC mean, and how can you experience some people’s entire upbringing in a weekend or week-long trip? It’s not impossible if you follow my guides and open your mind to “I’m not going to hit up all the touristy spots” because realistically, more than half of us localshave never been to the Statue of Liberty. Of course, plan your trip to your liking, but there’s a whole world outside of Times Square and the West Village that showcases the true side of what it’s like to be a New Yorker and a city gal.
