It’s tiiiiiime and Amazon Prime Day is the best time to save on your favorite travel essentials. From my favorite travel backpack to the gadgets you wouldn’t think you need, I have you covered. If you know me personally, you know that I prefer to pay for flights, experiences over things so the list is short, but very mighty. Travel Essentials for Any Trip
If you’ve been remotely anywhere but home, these apply to you. From weekender bags to the iconic Jansport backpack with a lifetime warranty, these travel essentials are fit for every trip, big or small.
1. Travel Weekender Bag for Women: This bag easily outperforms the Beis luggage. Y’all can fight me. It’s a soft weekender bag perfectly for stuffing last-minute items, and the shoe compartment is flexible, allowing you to really maximize what you pack with you. Due to the flexible material, it fits way more and even comes with two smaller pouches.
2. JanSport Cross Town Backpack: One of my ultimate hacks is to pack multiple bags in your carry-on. This bag knocks all the others out of the park, and did you know they have a lifetime warranty? Please make sure you purchase directly from the JanSport store (in person or online) so you can get the warranty. All you have to do is go online, fill out the form, send it to their warehouse location, and they’ll either repair your bag or give you a new one. I’ve done this twice already and have nothing but great things to say. It’s truly a bag that pays for itself.
3. 2 Pack Combination Lock: No matter where you are in the world, you want to make sure your belongings are protected and secure. Whether you’re fighting pickpockets in Paris or Barcelona or making sure your carry-on is secured while you nap in the airport, this is a staple that unfortunately is severely overpriced if you’re trying to get it on the spur of the moment and going on an excursion. Sometimes they have lockers without locks, so something like this is handy.
4. 8 Set Packing Cubes Luggage: Let me start with, it doesn’t matter which set of packing cubes you get. In my opinion, they are all the same. What’s great about this is it comes in a pack of 8 with different sizes for all different scenarios, even including one for storing shoes, which comes in handy.

5. Microfiber Towel: Same for this, it truly doesn’t matter which one you buy, but get one. This is a lifesaver when you’re staying in a hostel and don’t want to carry a large towel that takes forever to dry. Even at the beach when you’re trying to dry off and go about your day, this avoids the need to be inconvenienced by a smelly towel that will realistically never dry.
6. New Balance Women’s 574: If there is one shoe to get, it is the New Balance 574s. These are an absolute game-changer. From someone who suffers from severe ingrown toenails and has wide feet, this shoe is so comfortable to walk in. Every trip I go on, I reach for these shoes and even bought a few in the same color in case the others get too worn out.
7. Bike Phone Mount: Having this gadget is life-changing, especially when navigating a new city on a bike. For a place like Amsterdam that has its bike lanes so intertwined with the city streets, you want to make sure you’re riding safely. This gadget does just that, so remember to take it off every time you use a rental bike or scooter so you can keep using it in the future.
8. Toiletries Travel Bottles Set: It really doesn’t matter which one you get, I’d just recommend ones that are soft and flexible so you can condense them when they’re empty and if you need to squeeze every last drop.
