This list of Spring Break getaways is perfect for families and teens alike, looking for an escape from the cold winter months. Spring Break has become a universally recognized term where a majority of the United States is off for a week at a time between the months of March and April. For college kids and teens, it’s a phenomenon that everyone wants to partake in. Whichever bucket you fall into, these destinations fit the criteria for party and nightlife with the spring break vibe. Without further ado, let’s get into the list.
Spring Break Getaways
- Savannah: The charm of Savannah is truly unmatched. From the twenty-two designated parks, authentic history to the hundreds of pubs & open container laws, there is something here for everyone to enjoy. This destination is the perfect getaway for families, couples, girls’ trips & solo travelers. You will quickly find that you will be on your feet all day before you can say you are bored. As mentioned, there are tons of things to do here, so let’s talk about my favorites, shall we? I’d highly recommend checking out a ghost tour to visiting the Prohibition museum, and line dancing at Saddlebags – Savannah is the place to be. Check out the full guide, Things To Do In Savannah, to see all the fun you can have there!
- Charleston, South Carolina: Similar to the Southern Charm in Savannah, Charleston is another top destination perfect destination to add to the Spring Break Getaways list. From local music and fresh bites to beach escapes and history lessons, Charleston has it all. Check out the most notable plantations and remind yourself of the dark past in Charleston (Middleton Plantation, Drayton Hall, and Magnolia Plantation). Since Charleston is filled with historic homes, check out the most popular, Edmonston-Alston House, the Nathaniel Russell House, and the Aiken-Rhett House. Without further ado, check out Charleston and add it to your Spring Break getaway bucket list!
- Mackinac Island, Michigan: This destination, by far, is the most unique and a must on your Spring Break getaway, solely for its charm. For starters, they don’t allow any cars on the island. Everyone moves by bike or horse-drawn carriage. In April, the destination starts to transition into Spring, so it’s not the location to wear your dresses and shorts, but still a really cool spot if you have time. If not, prime season is in the summer months!
- Bahamas: The Bahamas is a country that is truly magnificent. If you are considering traveling here, JUST BOOK IT. The country caters to all ages with tons of activities to do, cultural experiences, recreation, and more! Perfect for escaping the cold & volatile spring weather, you’re guaranteed to get sun-kissed under the Bahamian sun. For the full guide, check it out here: Top Things To Do In the Bahamas
- Disney: I can’t compile a Spring Break getaways list without mentioning the iconic Disney. I know it may seem overrated and expensive, but hear me out. It’s great for families, groups, and friends with all the different parks and events they have. I went to the one in California for Spring Break, and the weather was perfect, the crowds weren’t as intense, and we had a great time. Disney World in Florida is a much bigger park so keep that in mind when planning your trip!
- Las Vegas: When it comes to the number of things to do in Las Vegas, the options are limitless. Aside from New York City, Las Vegas is another city that does not sleep, and you can only imagine why. I am not sure how people have adapted to this lifestyle, but it has gained quite a reputation and calls for endless memories. Considering a trip to Sin City? During Spring Break seems like a no-brainer so here’s the ultimate guide! Check out the full post, Top Things To Do In Las Vegas, and start booking!
