An Ultimate Guide to Sueños Festival
Sueños Festival is one of the most fun experiences. Reggaetoneros gather in the Windy City during Memorial Day weekend to celebrate culture, Latin music & the start of summer. With that said, it’s a perfect excuse to plan a getaway to Chicago and explore the city if you haven’t already! For a comprehensive list of things to do in the Chicago area, check it out here!
Sueños Festival Frequently Asked Questions
- Is It Worth It? Yes! For $300, you get to see the top reggaeton artists and the opportunity to explore a new city. For two days and over two dozen artists, the price is well worth it.
- Which Ticket Do You Get? With GA, you can get close to the stage, making the other two options less appealing. If you like comfort, go for the VIP options, but personally, GA was perfect!
- Do You Need A Clear Bag? Nope! I brought my black fanny pack and didn’t need to put it in a locker or anything. Check out the bag here.
- What is the lineup? Dozens of top Latin talent from your favorite songs are performing on the Sueños Festival stage. For the full lineup, check it out here.

Tips For Sueños Festival
- Be Safe: I feel like this goes without saying. There are fights at times, and of course, with alcohol,l things can get out of hand. Be aware of your surroundings and remember to follow the Buddy System!
- Be Prepared: Check the weather ahead of time. Bring ponchos in case it rains, sunglasses and a hat for the sun, and since it’s the windy city, bring a light sweater for later.
- Pregame? A 2-day 10+ hour festival does not need any pregaming. Think of it like a marathon, and if you’re sprinting, you’re not going to last.
- Would I Go Again? Depends on the lineup, but I think an excuse to explore a beautiful weekend getaway. It’s not a New York crowd, though, so go with those expectations of singing your heart out.
- DON’T BOOK WITH American Airlines: They screwed up our flight, canceling it at the last minute and forcing us to drive eight hours to Pittsburg to catch the next morning flight there. Don’t be tempted by a cheap flight from an unreliable airline.
- If You’re Going To Extend The Trip, Arrive Earlier: You might get sick, let’s face it. You’re head-to-head with thousands of people, and things just happen. If you’re looking to explore Chicago, consider going a day or two earlier, not after the festival. In case you get sick, you might as well be in the comfort of your own home.
Things To Do In Chicago
The Sueños Festival starts around 2-3 pm each day, which gives you plenty of time to explore the area. If you have time to fly in the day before, you only need a few days to explore so whatever you have, take advantage!
There You Have It
Chicago is a beautiful city, and what better way to spend it than at the Sueños Festival. With the perfect balance of fun activities, history & nightlife, there’s so much to see here that would keep you going again and again!
