Best Hikes Near Las Vegas
One of the biggest misconceptions about Las Vegas is that it’s just a party city. I mean yes, it is a party city- but there is so much more to Vegas. The city is nestled in the desert but near the mountains, canyons, rivers, forests & more! Here is the full list of the many outdoorsy things to do near Vegas. Check out the Best Hikes Near Las Vegas right here for incredible views & adventure!
Tips When Traveling To Vegas
- When booking an outdoorsy trip, think about the weather and only travel during the off-seasons (April-May & September-October!)
- Download the All Trails App. This is going to be your guide that you follow in case you lose track of the trail. One of my biggest tips is to keep the application open with the trail you’re going on. Even when you’re offline, you can still see the GPS tracker to stay on the correct path!
- Be careful in Death Valley because it can get super hot. If you’re using an older car, make sure to conserve your energy because keeping the AC on will overheat the car and I just can’t imagine being stranded in the desert without a way to cool off.
- Highly recommend renting a car only IF you are traveling from another state and this is a pit stop OR if you plan on going on an excursion/hike that will need a car to get to the mountain. If they offer you a Tesla, make sure you know how to use it. Don’t worry about shortages of chargers, since there are so many in the area!
